Since 1975, the community may call itself state-approved resort. In addition to the Tegernsee are also parts of the Mangfall and other streams in the municipality of Gmund. The brooks include the Festenbach (Moosbach), the Dürnbach, the Schwärzenbach and the Quirinbach, the Grambach the Jägerbächlein and the Gruber Bach.
